The SCDPS will not consider reinstating your driver’s license until it receives notification of your successful completion of ADSAP. Q. What is involved in ADSAP? A. First-time DUI offenders who meet certain requirements may obtain a provisional driver’s license from the SCDPS and may drive for a period not to exceed six months from the date of the issue of the provisional license, provided they also continue to successfully participate in ADSAP. However, first-time offenders who do not obtain a provisional driver’s license and subsequent DUI offenders may not drive during their suspension period. If you wish to have your license reinstated when the suspension period ends, you must enroll in ADSAP. If you fail to successfully complete ADSAP following the end of your suspension period, your license may be revoked until you have completed the program. A.
